National Cupcake Day is February 27, and the Renfrew County Animal Center of SPCA is looking forward to launching their Cupcake Day Campaign against animal cruelty. It is the first major event of 2017. It is a great start to really kick off the beginning of the year! To help launch their event, some of the staff dressed up as princesses and offered delicious cupcakes to everyone plus having pictures taken with parents kids at the Pembroke Mall on Saturday 21 2017. Who doesn’t love cupcakes?
In fact the initiative has grown across the United States again and again every year, and has raised over $1,000,000 to date. And last year the RCAC was able to bring in 1,100 abused and abandoned pets. So you can definitely say that they’ve been able to raise enough money for the cause.
And on such a deliciously fun-filled day why not join the fun? The SPCA has encouraged animal lovers, local businesses and organizations across the country to host a cupcake party to donate money to help out too. You can register at nationalcupcakeday.ca. Then you can host a party, and bake some cupcakes. And all there’s left to do is sell and donate! Besides, what’s better than making cupcakes to make people and animals happy? Because the real question is who doesn't love animals?
