MSA: What animal cruelty issues are you most passionate about and why?
Nicole: I am not vegan, nor vegetarian, but I am passionate about the humane treatment of animals. Any business that is going to treat animals inhumanely should not be in business at all. It is absolutely impossible for people to know every single product (ranging from food sources to makeup) and business that treats animals cruelly. This is why the government should not even allow those things on the shelves. We should be able to trust this.
MSA:Why is it important for models to use their voice and speak out?
Nicole: I think it is important for anyone to use their voice and speak out in a respectful way. It isn’t important so you can look like you “know it all”, or to look “better” than the next person. It is important to speak out to bring awareness. There are many things in this world we do not know, but there might be a neighbor that does. There might be something your neighbor doesn’t know, that you do. This is where educating starts. It is important for models to use their voice and speak out because they can bring a bigger awareness to a problem. Provide information, and let other’s make their own decisions based on information. I do not believe in making others choose what you do, or that they are bad if they do not. It’s all about just showing love and questioning society.
MSA: Name and Describe your favorite childhood pet?
Nicole: I grew up on a farm with around 126 acres until I was about 5 years old. Then we moved and lived on 5 acres in a small town, and my parents still wanted to have a farm on those 5 acres. I had EVERYTHING from cows, horses, goats, dogs, cats, and a pig. There were probably more than that. I had my pet cow, who I named “cowy cow” (original, huh?). You better believe I made a pet out of at least one of everything! I remember my little pig’s nose wiggling. I remember helping my mom in the barn, as a goat was having babies. Grabbing the towel and rubbing them under the heat lamp listening to the baby goat cry. These are the best memories, and I am so thankful to have had a childhood with so many animals, and so much outdoor fun! I currently had a Cavachon Maltese mix and I love him beyond words!
MSA: What celebrity would you most want to meet and why?
Nicole: I would have chosen Paul Walker. Besides having a major crush on him since I saw him on the big screen that followed me until my adulthood, stupid as it sounds- I always felt like we would have a lot in common. He loved the outdoors, animals, adventure, nature, and he stressed to audiences that it’s best not to get too wrapped up in the bad side of “Hollywood”. After hearing that, I really respected him as well.
MSA: What is your Astrological sign?
Nicole: I am a LIBRA!
MSA: What is your favorite quote and why?
Nicole: Well one that comes to mind: “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work” – Aristotle
MSA: What is your most favorite animal and why?
Nicole: I love almost all animals! My least favorites are snakes and spiders. Poor guys are so misunderstood, but no thanks!
MSA: Morning or Night person and why?
Nicole: I’m both! Just not too early. I need my balanced rest.
