Though not all The Creme Shop sponges have the same ultra soft-to-squish texture I found the Make Up Marshmallows and Puff Pals to work wonderfully similar to the classic Beauty Blender. Both the Marshmallows and the Puff Pals are an old school triangular shape as opposed to the spherical tear drops and flat tear drops produced by Beauty Blender. The main difference between these two Creme Shop products is that the Marshmallows are latex free while the Puff Pals do contain latex. There is also a price difference between the two, but both are extremely affordable. The latex free Marshmallows are three for four dollars and the Puff Pals come in a pack of twelve for four dollars. ![]() Cosmetic Sponges have a variety of uses but the most common are the application of foundation, concealer and/or contour, cream blushes, for the seamless blending of each, and for the application of setting powder. The sponges are isosceles triangles with the two equivalent sides being shorter than the third. This leaves two of the corners thin enough for troublesome places such as the crease of the nostril, under the eye, the inner corner of the eye and even the precise application of a nasal contour. A great trick with a sponge is to add a couple drops of moisturizing oil before dabbing away for the best blend possible. Of course there are more creative uses and tricks to be discovered with some experimentation. Play fearlessly and have fun!
