Monthly Challenge
Each month we will post a challenge that has to do with helping animals or the environment. Whether you do the challenge every month or just some of them, remember to take a picture of yourself (invite your family and friends too!) in action and send it in with a short description of what the heck is going on in the photo! All submissions are subject to our Terms of Use.
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER CHALLENGE: THANK YOUR LOCAL SHELTER
Can you believe the end of the year is upon us! Real talk, where did the time go? In any case, the holidays are here and it's a time for giving thanks and well, giving! This is a simple challenge we can all do in a matter of minutes. Shelters workers have to make heartbreaking decisions each and every day. They get a lot of slack for it too but let's be real- most of us couldn't do it. This holiday, send a hand-written thank you card to your local shelter(s). Get as many community members to sign it as possible before delivering it. If you want to take it a step further, include a gift basket, yummy treat, or gift card for the workers/volunteers. Take a photo of you with your card and/or gift at the shelter, email it to us with a description, and we will enter your shelter in drawing to win $100! Contest ends 12/31/18. Must be a MSA member.

FEBRUARY CHALLENGE: WINTER CAT SHELTER
With February being on of the coldest months of the year (US), we thought it would be pretty awesome to challenge you to make something super simple but has a big impact on animals in need. Outdoor and feral cats suffer tremendously during these harsh weather conditions so gather up your family, friends or community members to eat pizza and make these easy cat shelters! Visit this link for detailed instructions.

NOVEMBER CHALLENGE: MEATLESS THANKSGIVING
Thankgiving is literally right around the corner and for real, Thanksgiving is a very close contestant as my favorite holiday! The holiday sales start, quality time with family you probably haven't seen all year and of course, THE FOOD! Lets make this Thanksgiving enjoyable for all beings by committing ourselves to eating no meat for the entire month of November (this obviously isn't an issue for vegetarians and vegans, I'm talking to our members that are still meat-eaters!). If your hosting Thanksgiving at your place, inspire others by showing them how delicious Thanksgiving can still be without meat on the menu! Fall weather is here and winter is not far behind! Time to cozy up in those cute fall sweaters, faux-fur lined bomber jackets and stylish (and multi-purpose!) scarves, hooray! Oh, but wait! I know you already know that fur is cruel and but there are STILL people out there that buy it and most likely don't realize it because they don't read the labels!! Remind your family, friends, and followers to read the labels by printing out the flyer below, taking a selfie and making it your profile picture or simply posting it. Let's save some animals!
